Mission Night Program Friday, March 7, 2008 

Come hear all about GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND this Friday, March 7th at 7 p.m.  The Grothe Family will be sharing their experiences with this program and the impact it has had on their family and those that this service provides for.  They will give us information on the process, how they became involved, the results of the dogs they have trained, share a video, and have a question & answer period.  This will be an exciting program!  We will meet in the Adamson Room.  Desserts will be provided.

One Great Hour of Sharing 

Since 1949, Presbyterians have joined with millions of other Christians through One Great Hour of Sharing to share God’s love with people experiencing need. Our gifts support ministries of disaster response, refugee assistance and resettlement, and community development that help people find safe refuge, start new lives, and work together to strengthen their families and communities. Recognizing that the hope we have in Christ is lived out in our hope for one another, we respond with gifts that help our sisters and brothers around the world find the hope for a brighter future.  The One Great Hour of Sharing offering will be collected on Easter Sunday during worship.  May God bless you as you respond to the needs of God’s people. 
 

Significant Sacrifice 

This Lenten season, we will again be participating in the Lifewater International's Significant Sacrifice program.  Lifewater is an organization devoted to improving the lives of millions of people all over the world that are without safe, clean water. There is a large water bottle located in the narthex which will accept your donations, as personal sacrifices to aid in this cause.  Please take time to look at the booklet that is there. It contains interesting information about Lifewater and how it is inspired by the redemptive work God continues to do in this world.

Please Help us Feed the Hungry 

Vons and Albertson's will donate money to our Food Share Fund.  If you have a Vons Club card, register using the Internet at www.escrip.com.  If you have an Albertson's Preferred Savings card, register using the Internet at www.albertsons.com.  All funds go directly to paying for food that we serve each month at Feed the Hungry.  A complete set of registration instructions are available in the Church Office.  If you don't have an internet connection, please come into the Church office March 2 after worship so we can help you register.  Thanks for your support.
