Quickly moving through Lent, the choirs are dealing with necessary schedule changes and they are all to be thanked for their patience.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!  Our Chancel Choir performed at an American Guild of Organists (AGO) choir concert at First United Methodist of Santa Maria on the 24th of February.  Kathleen Hacker, former FPL choir director, is Dean of the local AGO chapter of which Mary Ann Bolts, Barbara Fox and I are members.  It was great to mingle with other Central Coast church choirs and present a song at the concert.

HeartSong is preparing for a "gig" early this month.  Performing at Lompoc Family YMCA's Victory Dinner at Embassy Suites may be new to our group, but early versions of our praise band played this gig in the 90's more than once.  Ernie Freund and I both chaired the campaign for several years and took advantage of the church's talent on many occasions.

The Carillon is putting together a nice selection of Easter tunes.  We'll be ready in case we're asked to participate at this year's sunrise service at the mission.

Check the church calendar in case this is your year to join one of the choirs.  There's always room for more!

Make a Joyful Noise!
